Our wire binding uses a water / fire resistant Nomex®material with a 10lb tear strength, better suited to reduce future wire rot and corrosion of the brass band over time.
The brow pad is made of Elk skin which is more comfortable and naturally more resistant to shrinking and cracking from exposure to water / sweat compared to traditional cow hide.
NFPA compliant earflaps are built to 4 ½” in length which curve to 4 ¼” towards the center and are 3 layers thick. Shorter earflaps make for a much more comfortable fit on your head and allows the helmet to sit as low as possible when folded in.
Liner comes standard with a drawstring and plastic sizing ring to allow both height and circumference adjustments for the wearer.
